Leaving A Grand Impression

In the race to stay ahead of the chasing pack, Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre plunges the guests into an immersive audio-visual experience. By Kannan Chandran

Keeping up with demanding customers is a challenge faced by many venues.

Many venues are hampered by structural limitations, while others are challenged by the cost of updating infrastructure and coordinating the implementation of new features, especially when there is limited space available.

Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre (www.suntecsingapore.com) seems to worry from none of the above. Following a massive renovation where it upped the ante in terms of room configuration and a sensational food menu, the unconventional thinkers have now come up with the ImmersiveAV Suite.

If you’re after that grand entrance that will have your guests talking about your event for a long while, this is quite a sensational feature.

The showcase room that Suntec presented the ImmersiveAV Suite had screens on three walls projecting street scenes, and videos that made full use of all of them. The Panorama 105 features all three screens, but they can also be used individually.

The clarity of the images in conjunction with the crisp sound system and the spectacular food come together very well as the guests are whisked away into any realm the event organizer would like to take them.

The Float3D System was also on show. Suspended 4.5m above ground, it offers a holographic rendition of logos and other images that serve to add to the wow factor.

Forget those static backdrops that have to be torn down and discarded, technology has allowed for far greater flexibility.

The Panorama packages start from $33,000+ and use of the Float3D is priced at $9,500+.
