More Sharing Of Information Needed To Help Charities

Wed Web Chat Charity

THE charity sector is filled with determined personalities who are intent on helping the less fortunate find their way out of poverty.

In STORM-ASIA’s WED WEB CHAT discussion, Can We Give As Good As We Take, the 3 panellists, with their 8 decades of collective experience, dug into the issues that are sometimes holding back the support.

From empathy to the lack of digital devices, and MPs who should perform their duties as full-time representatives of their community to the lack of sharing of pertinent information, the discussion between Dr Tan Bee Wan, Colin Goh, T Ranganayaki with moderator Kannan Chandran highlighted what was still needed for the charity sector.

Dr Tan, who set up the Community Chest with Dr Ee Peng Liang, now runs her own leadership and management practice, Integrative Learning Corporation. Colin Goh is the CEO of The RICE Company which works within the arts space. T. Ranganayaki is the Dy Executive Director of Beyond Social Services, which works with children and youths from poorer homes.
