THERE IS a lot to be said for controlling the availability of a product.
The much sought-after Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato models will push the English car brand’s profile even higher.
“With only 325 cars worldwide, divided between 99 Coupes, 99 Volantes, 28 Speedsters and 99 Shooting Brakes – they are still the rarest of the rare,” notes Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman.
Most units have been snapped up and the cars will be delivered by 2018.
So, the next best thing to owning one is to ogle at the Vanquish Zagato Coupe, Volante, Speedster and Shooting Brake.
All four cars are based on the Vanquish S, with a 441kW naturally-aspirated V12 mated to the smooth, slick-shifting Touchtronic III transmission. Their sleek lines and carbon fibre body parts will be differentiated across the models, but they will share the Aston Martin Vulcan-inspired ‘Blade’ tail lights and repeated 3D Zagato ‘Z’ motifs in the front grille and rear vent meshes
