The Charger Award Follows The Billionaires

WHICH listed companies are the billionaires placing their bets on?

For the last six months the investments of a unique group of investors has been tracked by the spiking app. We have identified the 30 SGX listed companies we believe will do exciting things.

Applying the customised algorithm of FinTech start-up spiking.com, the Charger Award identifies 30 SGX companies that are viewed favourably by the big investors. These are the billionaires, millionaires and blue whale investors who astutely place their money on likely winners

The event is organised by STORM.SG magazine together with the Singapore Management University and with information from spiking.com.

“Leaders from the 30 companies have been invited to offer their views on a number of discussion topics that have been developed to facilitate robust discussions,” explained Kannan Chandran, Publisher of STORM.SG creator of this event.

Among the topics of discussion are:

Survival In The Shrinking Economy.

How Safe Are REITs?

What Is On The Investment Horizon?

To List Or Not To Delist?

Industry experts will also be on hand to serve as moderators for the sessions leading up to The Charger Award presentation.

“As at end-May 2017, the total market capitalisation value of 751 listed companies on SGX stood at S$1 trillion. The appetite for the stock market remains strong among investors. What will be interesting is to find out which companies will be charging first to cross the finishing line in 2017,” said Clemen Chiang, founder of spiking.com who will also be one of the moderators.

The event is a private-sector initiative to showcase the value of doing business in Singapore, which is in keeping with the government’s push to encourage growth and use of innovative methods in times of disruption.

Of the 30 companies, 3 will be singled out for special commendation. They will receive:

The Super Charger award for expanding into new areas of business activity;

The Hard Charger award for making good use of existing resources; and

The Turbo Charger award for the company that applies innovation and creativity.

Each of the finalists will receive an exclusive trophy (top picture)  created specially by artist Kalyan S Rathore. Each Charger Award bull is created to personify the drive and perseverance of its recipient.

The Charger Award takes place on 22 June 2017 at the SMU Law Faculty Function Hall.

Tickets are priced at $100 and $200. Get your tickets HERE.
