Darts — Fancy A Competitive Fling?

DARTS is the latest game causing a clamour as more and more enthusiasts are flocking to the burgeoning scene in Singapore.

And it isn’t the boring old corkboard and dusty piece of chalk to keep score either.

Darts has since gotten a 21st century revamp — now played using an electronic dart machine with sensors, brilliant light and sound effects, and interactive screens that offer a whole array of exciting games. With online connectivity, you can even match up against opponents from all over the world.

What started slowly in a handful of pubs with just a couple of electronic dart machines has grown into a booming amateur sport with many clubs, leagues, and even international competitions supported by various dart halls that have popped up all over the island.

We talk to Team Singapore darter and Rflags Singapore Tournament 2016 Champion Ian Lai to find out more.

You can catch Ian and his fellow darters at the upcoming Rflags Singapore Tournament.

Player registrations are between $30 and $120. Free entry for spectators.
