WED WEB CHAT – GE2020 And Beyond

AFTER a short but furious hustings GE2020 is behind us.

It’s left a wake of emotions on all fronts.

The ruling People’s Action Party have lost another Group Representation Constituency to the Workers’ Party, in the newly carved out 4-member Sengkang GRC. Along the way, 3 of the PAP’s office holders were left without seats, losing to the young WP team.

With 10 seats in Parliament going to the WP, its leader, Pritam Singh is now the Leader of the Opposition.

There’s work ahead for this new parliament, as COVID-19 still makes its presence felt and firm plans have to be in place to raise the economy and create opportunities for job creation.
