RUNNING with the rough boys in the hood, Mohamed Geraldez seemed destined for a life on the wrong side of the law. Growing up wondering where he would fit in — Hispanic, Black, White or Asian — he found himeslf in the company of booze, drugs, guns, murder and gangs.
He traded in the sandy beaches of California for the desert sands of the Sahara, where he spent a few yers as a nomad and a student of ancient religions.
He returned a changed person.
A business nomad who has travelled widely and loves making money, he has set up businesses in fashion, food, finance and technology. With a degree in psychology and an MBA in Business, he has hobnobbed with the famous and presents talks on making “happy money”.
His book, To God Through Money is due out in a few months.
As a guest of the US Embassy, he shared his thoughts with a lunch audience at Halia Restaurant as part of the Keep It Going: Behind The Scenes series.
